Even before the cross, Jesus nullified dietary laws such as abstaining from meat and drink

As seen on the previous page, it is necessary to understand how and why God annulled the literal Old Testament Covenant to establish the New Testament Covenant in Christ. All the outward ceremonial temple laws “WERE [only] SYMBOLIC FOR THAT TIME, AND COULD NOT MAKE [anything or anyone] PERFECT… [The physical temple laws had no spiritual power except as symbols of the Perfect Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, and His complete fulfilment of the all the ceremonial laws. So, everything in the ceremonial temple law was only] CONCERNED WITH [physical sacrifices and outward religious works such as keeping the Sabbath,] FOOD, DRINKS, WASHING, AND OTHER FLESHLY ORDINANCES UNTIL THE TIME OF [spiritual] RENEWAL: [the New Covenant of Christ, which was established at the cross,]” (Heb. 9:8-12.)

When the Pharisees tried to entangle Jesus in the worthless laws “of the elders,” such as the ceremonial washing of hands before they ate, the Lord asked, "Why do you transgress the [Moral Law] commandment of God because of your tradition? [God did not command this, but they said it was as binding as His written Law.] Hypocrites! ...In vain you worship God, teaching as [truth] the commandments of men…” (Mt. 15:13.)

It is a lie that Mark 7:11-19 and Matthew 15:11-20 are the teachings of Jesus’ disciples, not Jesus Himself! When Peter asked the Lord to explain why physical things cannot defile them, Jesus moved their attention from the literal world to the spirit realm and said, “Whatever [type of] food, [drink, and even bacteria from unwashed hands] enters the mouth goes into the stomach and is eliminated, and cannot [spiritually] defile a man, (Heb. 9:8-12!) But [all evil such as false dogma that] proceeds out of the mouth comes from the [unrenewed] heart, and they defile a man [spiritually and soulically on a mind level to commit lawlessness…]” (1 Ths. 5:23; Mt. 7:21-24.)

· Because dietary laws from the ousted Old Testament covenant, as everything else, were also mere symbols of what was to come at the cross, eating pork under Jesus’ New Covenant has nothing to do with the fully fulfilled and thus destroyed, ceremonial temple law, (Heb. 8:7,13; 9:9-12; 11-19!) “Unclean animals” in the Old Testament were symbols of “unclean people” such as non-Jews or Gentiles, and those who persist in unrepented, sinful practices. They were called ‘dogs and swine.’ To test the faith of a Canaanite woman who asked for His help, Jesus said, “I was only sent to... Israel, (John 1:1-14.) It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs,” But when she insisted, He said, ‘Woman, great is your faith! Let it be as you desire,’” (Mt. 15:26!)

· This is the context in which God commanded Peter in a vision to “eat” of everything God had created, (pork included,) because everything literal in the Old Covenant temple law were merely the symbols of Jesus’ New Testament Covenant. That symbolical uncleanness of certain food, drink, PEOPLE, etcetera, was completely destroyed at the cross, (Acts 10:9-16.) Everything, (and everyone from all nations who wholeheartedly accept Jesus and follow Him,) are spiritually clean and perfect, (Col. 2:9-15.) So, God said to Peter, “WHAT GOD HAS CLEANSED [by the blood atonement of Jesus The Only Christ,] YOU MUST NOT CALL VILE, [dirty and unfit]” (Acts 10:9-16; Heb. 9:9-12!)

· Yet, the Lord Jesus’ spiritually blood-cleansed believers from all nations are not allowed to soulically, (on a mind level,) “ingest” the immorality, false dogmas, and idolatry of unrepented sinners by associating with them - besides to bring them the truth of His Word, if possible. Just as “Gentiles” were ceremonially unclean under the Old covenant, all people, (Jews as well,) who now reject Jesus Christ and His True Word, (as Christian Messianic Judaists/Zionists do,) are spiritually unclean ‘swine’ in the New Testament.

· Conversely, all animals, real pigs, shellfish, etcetera, are innocent, sinless creatures of the Living God. Under Jesus’ New Covenant, there is no suggestion of spiritual uncleanness concerning them. But it remains forbidden to associate with those who unrepentedly transgress God’s eternal, inward Moral Law — liars, deceivers, sexually and other immoral, UNREPENTED [and thus spiritually unclean] Christian ‘sinner swine’ in particular, (2 Cor. 6:11-18; 1 Cor. 5:11!) Unbelievers and disobedient believers are like the symbolically ‘unclean animals’ or Gentiles were under the Old covenant. They cannot enter God's presence unless they accept and obey Jesus Christ, (Jn. 3:16-18; 2 Ths. 1:6-12!)

· Note that in contrast to Seventh Day Adventism’s incredibly false teachings, food and drink, (“stimulants” such as coffee and tea,) AS EVERYTHING ELSE THAT GOD CREATED, (human flesh, toxic things, and dangerous substances excluded,) may be consumed. Food and drink are not sinful, but man’s ABUSE of what God created to be used and enjoyed make the person sinful, (Lu. 7:33-35; Rom. 13:12-13; Eph. 5:15-18.)

· Judaists, Seventh Day Adventists, and other Jesus-denying cults, (Adventists and Jehovah’s Witnesses say Jesus is not God but Michael the archangel,) are merely stacking Scripturally unlawful, antichrist burdens on people by teaching them to abstain from literal food and drink that Jesus Himself declared holy! They are after the souls of Jesus’ believers!

· 1 Timothy 4:1-7, “THE SPIRIT WARNS THAT IN THE LATTER DAYS SOME WILL DEPART FROM THE FAITH, GIVING HEED TO DECEIVING SPIRITS AND THE DOCTRINES OF DEMONS, SPEAKING LIES IN HYPOCRISY… HAVING THEIR OWN CONSCIENCE SEARED WITH [false dogma and other crimes.] THEY FORBID TO MARRY, AND COMMAND TO ABSTAIN FROM FOODS THAT GOD CREATED TO BE RECEIVED WITH THANKSGIVING BY THOSE WHO BELIEVE AND KNOW THE TRUTH. FOR EVERY CREATURE OF GOD IS GOOD, AND NOTHING [EDIBLE AND DRINKABLE] IS TO BE REFUSED IF IT CAN BE RECEIVED WITH THANKSGIVING; FOR [even if it were sacrificed to false gods such as in halal and kosher foods,] IT IS SANCTIFIED BY THE WORD OF GOD AND PRAYER.”

· To all this Scriptural truth, a Seventh Day Adventist laughed himself into stitches, accusing me of eating humans and thinking they can be sanctified by prayer and thanksgiving! But because we are totally free from the Old Testament’s ceremonial law, (which was completely annulled, Hebrews 7:14-19,) Paul declared in 1 Corinthians 10:25-33, “EAT EVERYTHING THAT IS SOLD IN THE MEAT MARKET, ASKING NO QUESTIONS FOR [SPIRITUAL] CONSCIENCE SAKE. FOR THE EARTH ARE THE LORD’S AND ALL ITS FULLNESS! If anyone invites you to dinner, and you desire to go, eat what is set before you asking no question for conscience sake…”

· Every single thing God created is spiritually clean, belongs to Him, and cannot be cursed or be spiritually defiled. Even if it was dedicated to Satan, (such as Islamic “halal,” Jewish ‘kosher’ foods, and even other things such as crystals that are supposedly used in the occult to channel spirits,) we can thank God for His creation, the full atonement of Jesus Christ, and the power of prayer and thanksgiving in the Holy Spirit to spiritually clean everything of God’s creation. In the case of natural, innocent objects, (normal art, etcetera,) we can dedicate them to God and ask Him to clean, protect, and bless them by the blood of Jesus from any or all possible demonic attachments. In the Lord Jesus Christ, God gave all true believers the necessary power over the enemy, (Jn. 1:12-13.) If necessary, in the Almighty Name of Jesus, we can also “cast out demons” and send them away, never to return, (Mark. 16:16-18.)

· Satan has never, will never, and can never create anything. He is the deceiver of all unbelievers and disobedient believers, but nothing and no one belongs to him. Even those who ‘sold their souls’ to Satan still belong to God, Who reigns sovereignly over everything and everyone. God created them and only God will eventually judge them. Ezekiel 18:5-6, “Behold all the souls are Mine. The soul of the father as well as the soul of the son is Mine. The soul who sins [unrepentedly] will die. But if a man is just and does what is lawful and right [according to God’s New Covenant Gospel and Word in Christ, he will be saved.]” Ezekiel 18:20, “...The son will NOT bear the guilt of the father, nor the father bear the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous will be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked will be upon himself.” No sight of the false church “cursed bloodline” here or anywhere! That is also not found in Exodus 20:1-6 — read it for yourself. “God will [actually allow ] the INIQUITY of the fathers to VISIT the next generations, as children learn from their parents, and have to choose to follow their “hatred for God” or to “love the Lord our God.”

· The devil has no right to claim, corrupt, defile, and keep Gods innocent creation as his own — either living things such as animals and vegetation such as trees, or whatever is found in nature. Manmade idols, (occult statues, Christian Mary statues, crosses, etcetera,) and objects made for witchcraft, (such as prayer beads and tribal masks,) are excluded from this principle, or course, (Deut. 7:25-26.)

SABBATH KEEPING: Jesus also pointed this so-called ‘saving’ sacrament to the inward Moral Law

The legalist Pharisees bent God’s Sabbath keeping for the Old Testament nation of Israel into a restricting, oppressing law, which would supposedly contribute to the salvation and blessing of the old Hebrews, (Sabbatarianism,) and they demanded that disobedience to that would be punishable by death, (Ex. 31:15.) This had to be an addition to God’s creation principle in Genesis 2:2-4, when He rested on the seventh day after completing His creation in six days. Logically, God did not rest because He was tired but as an example to humanity, who would need to recuperate and relax after six days of hard work. The Lord actually declared the seventh day a day of rest to bless hard-working humanity and “to commemorate His completion of the universe.” No one knows if the seventh day of rest that God referred to, were a Sunday, Saturday, or any other man-named day of the week. Saturday was named after the Roman god Saturn. Sunday was named after the sun god. Monday was named after the god of the moon. Tuesday was named after the god of war. Wednesday was named after the Roman god Mercury. Thursday was named after the god of thunder and lightning. Friday was named after the goddess of love. So, I think this settles the debate of Seventh Day Adventism that Sunday is an unholy day and Saturday is a holy day. Despite the Roman influence on naming the days, I believe that every day is a holy, special gift from God to enjoy His gift of life and to glorify Him in everything we do.

· When the Pharisees attacked the Lord Jesus Christ with their notion that it is unlawful to heal the sick on the Sabbath, He addressed their corrupted priorities by referring them to the Moral Law, which governs the behavior of Godly humanity. He asked, “Which of you, having a donkey or an ox that has fallen into a pit, will not immediately pull it out on the Sabbath day?” What He asked can be interpreted as, “What is the greater priority, saving a life or worshiping a specific day as pagans worship God’s creations like water, wind, light, earth, and air as saviors and gods?” They could not answer Him. Yet, they constantly slammed the miracles that He did on the Sabbath as “unlawful,” (Luke 14:1-6.) Jesus addressed the same situation in Matthew 12:10 by saying, “How much more value has a suffering man [who needs healing] than a [drowning animal?] Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.” In Luke 13:14-17, “the ruler of the synagogue said, ‘There are six days on which men ought to work. Therefore come and be healed on them, not on the Sabbath day.” But the Lord answered him, “Hypocrite! Does not each one of you on the Sabbath loosen his ox or donkey from the stall, and lead it away to water it? …Should not this woman, whom Satan has bound for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath?” The adversaries of Jesus were put to shame, and all the multitude rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by Him on the Sabbath. Yet, they kept to their Sabbath as if it would send them to hell to worship the God of the Sabbath instead.

· When God called the Sabbath a ‘holy’ day, it did not mean that the Sabbath was made only for healing, prayer, praise, and worship, as legalists, who try to earn salvation from God by various outward religious works, allege! Even during the nonflexible Old Testament sacramental/ceremonial law, which the Lord Jesus fulfilled and completely did away with at the cross, Sabbath keeping itself was not ‘Sabbatarianism, as Seventh Day Adventists believe, (Hebrews 9:8-12.) Ephesians 2:13-17 clarify, “[Under the New Covenant,] YOU WHO ONCE WERE FAR OFF [‘without hope and God in the world,’] HAVE NOW BEEN BROUGHT [into His presence by the blood of Christ.] (Verse 14:) JESUS IS OUR PEACE… AND HAS BROKEN DOWN THE MIDDLE WALL OF SEPARATION [between believers and God,] HAVING ABOLISHED IN HIS FLESH THE ENMITY, THAT IS, THE [old ceremonial temple] LAW OF [sacramental/ceremonial] COMMANDMENTS CONTAINED IN ORDINANCES, [such as keeping the Sabbath to be saved, abstaining from pork to be holy, etcetera,] SO AS TO CREATE IN HIMSELF, [through His own blood and broken flesh,] A NEW MAN, [spiritually born again by faith and acceptance of Christ… thereby] RECONCILING [true believers] TO GOD THROUGH [His death on] THE CROSS…”

· The real meaning of peace in Christ is twofold: a ceasing from religious, sacramental (‘saving’) works, as well as a ceasing from separation from God through the full atonement of Christ. Hence, Christ Jesus did not forbid people to do good and necessary work on the Sabbath day. In John 5:1-18, The Lord commanded the lame man, whom He healed, to take up his bed and walk, but the Pharisees, esteeming the day itself more than the healing of a man, expected him not to move until after the Sabbath!

Mark 2:23-28 unmistakably demonstrates the New Covenant Sabbath rest in the full atonement of the Lord Jesus Christ, which was symbolized by the compulsory, physical, Sabbath rest of the old covenant. It states, “When Jesus went through the grain fields on the Sabbath, His disciples began to pluck the heads of grain [as they were hungry. And the trouble-making] Pharisees said to Him, “Look, why do they do what is unlawful on the Sabbath?” But Jesus answered, “Have you not read that when David [and his men] were hungry, they went into the temple… and ate the showbread, which is unlawful except for the priests… [because food and] the Sabbath was created for man [to enjoy,] and not man for the Sabbath [to revere the day itself as if it is a god and not merely part of God’s creation.] Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath.” This literally means, Jesus is the Creator God. John 1:1-3, “HE WAS IN THE BEGINNING WITH GOD, (THE WORD OF GOD,) ALL THINGS WERE MADE THROUGH HIM, AND WITHOUT HIM NOTHING WAS MADE THAT WAS MADE.” Jesus created the Sabbath to bless man, (just as water, fire, wind, air, and ground,) not intending that man would see his salvation in exalting the day.

· The above actually refers to ALL the outward feasts, sabbaths, (there were more Sabbaths, ‘high days’ or ‘rest days’ than just the ‘Saturday’ Sabbath, John 19:31, ) and outward practices such as dietary laws, which were all annulled at the cross when Jesus established His eternal inward, spiritual Covenant in His own blood for all true believers globally, Jews included, (Heb. 7:15-19.)

· Just as dietary and other outward laws and sacrifices, literal Sabbath keeping was only the SYMBOL of how, at the cross, Jesus Himself became our eternal Sabbath Rest from striving to earn God’s salvation by keeping some of the outward precepts of the old, annulled, ceremonial temple law. (Heb. 4:1-16; 9:8-12.) “FOR THE LAW MADE NOTHING PERFECT. ON THE OTHER HAND, THERE IS THE BRINGING IN OF A BETTER HOPE, [Jesus’ atonement,] THROUGH WHICH WE DRAW NEAR TO GOD,” (Heb. 7:15-19; 10:1-9)

· This is what church clergies never tell us. Genuine believers "rest constantly" from keeping all outward religious laws, norms, and forms. Of course we need to rest physically, but we do not rest religiously under the Lord's spiritual New Testament Covenant, as if any kind of religious work can earn us redemption, salvation, and blessing, which is totally free in Christ, (Heb. 4:1-16.) SO, “THERE REMAINS A REST FOR THE PEOPLE OF GOD. FOR HE WHO HAS ENTERED [Jesus’ rest] HAS HIMSELF CEASED FROM HIS [religious] WORKS AS GOD DID FROM HIS [work on the seventh day. True believers never have to work to earn any merit from God because He has done it all for us.] LET US THEREFORE BE DILIGENT TO ENTER THAT REST, LEST ANYONE FAIL ACCORDING TO THE SAME EXAMPLE OF [Old Testament] DISOBEDIENCE [to God’s inward Moral Law.]”

· Those who are so deceived that they still want to work to 'fulfill' the ceremonial Law, "will NOT enter into God's [eternal spiritual] rest," because their own efforts to fulfill the law, which Jesus already perfectly fulfilled for them, is the REJECTION of the Lord’s Absolute Atonement for all true believers. Thus, to revere the Sabbath as part of “salvation” like the Sabbatarianist Seventh day Adventist church and Messianic and other Christian Judaism do, is a great offence to God.

Right through the New Testament, Paul's fight was NOT to mix legalism, (the old ousted laws of the Hebrews,) with the spiritual freedom of New Testament Covenant, blood-cleansed believers in Christ, (Col. 2:19-21.) THE ENTIRE CEREMONIAL OR OUTWARD LAW was done away with forever at the cross, (Hebrews chapters 7-9.) True believers in Christ really has only ONE LAW, THE ETERNAL, INWARD MORAL LAW, and of course, all its many precepts as described in the Old Testament Books of Deuteronomy and Leviticus in particular. That constitutes God's Living Word and LOVE, (HIS Truth in Christ,) for us. Our obedience to His Word in the Holy Spirit constitutes our LOVE (agape in deed and truth, not a mere feeling,) for GOD first, and then for all other people AS for ourselves, SIMPLY TO GLORIFY GOD. No other Godly 'love' and spiritual rest exists. No other means to glorify the Most High God remains. That is why the Lord Jesus Christ is the ONLY WAY, TRUTH, LIFE, [AND LIGHT…] to the Father, (Jn. 14:5-11.)
