You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free
Suffering from “left-church syndrome?” Or thinking it might not be so bad to be part of the Harlot riding the beast? (All recognised churches are part of Roman Catholic Church Christianity.) Feeling guilty, lost, disorientated, scared, and concerned about your loved ones? Where is God in all this?

The reasons why we left church must not have been selfish. It must either have been because we were abused for righteousness and know that system is corrupt, and because we feel lost and chained and maybe, cannot even say why.
Usually, people decide to seriously pray about leaving church because they hunger for a deeper relationship with Jesus and are perplexed by so many oppressing doctrines and the lack of true spirituality that stunt their spiritual growth. Strange spiritual manifestations scare them; they seriously doubt that the Holy Spirit works in this place. Believers from other denominations where the gifts of the Holy Spirit and the ministry of God’s holy angels are rejected, yearn to experience God as a Reality. Deep down they know something is terribly wrong here. When they ask questions or speak against the wrong being done to them and other people, they get the cold shoulder. When they know they have to bring a real word from the Holy Spirit, they are quieted. They tried really hard, but cannot find Biblical justification for the many man made norms and forms of the church. They cannot see that going to church is their ultimate destiny in life. They knew for a long time it is impossible that Jesus shed His blood for them to warm the pews and listen to sermons that have no real spiritual depth or eternal value. Yet, the pastor/priest/minister forbids them to study any spiritual material except the literature of the church. The countless, boring church agendas smother God’s peace in their hearts. The pastor/priest/minister draws lots of money from their pockets, and control their time without bringing spiritual value to their lives.
And so, many turn their backs on “the church” because Rev. 18:4 commanded, “Come out of her, My people!” But now they feel so overwhelmingly guilty to “forsake” the many meetings! They can hardly contain their fear of “backsliding” and losing their salvation forever! They worry about their spouses and children, and what will happen to them without a spiritual support system!
That is why, in the face of ‘Left-Church Syndrome,’ many believers decide to go back into the world by participating in its parties and other sinful pleasures. To most other, conformity to church religion seems a better choice than ‘losing it’ in the world. Others come out of church to start their own fellowships, but they bring all their favourite doctrines and church traditions with them to structure their own little church systems. Such little systems are usually worse than the recognized Christian institutions, because in these little church systems, the “chiefs” are usually greater despots than the clergy of organized religion, and all their “little Indians” still never come to the “knowledge of God’s truth” to fulfil their place in the body of Christ, (1 Tim. 2:3-5.)
This is not what Jesus had in mind when He called His end-time believers to separate themselves from the religious misconduct and false doctrines of the growing ecumenical church system of the One World Church. Jesus clearly commanded, “Come out of her, My people, [separate yourself entirely from all her false norms, forms, and dogmas,] lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues…” (Rev. 18:4-5.)
Christians must now face the reality: playtime in church is over. I believe, to signify the end of it all in this world, God concluded the Book of Revelation by saying, (22:11,) “He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; [because they refuse to listen and repent.] He who is filthy, let him be filthy still; [because they reject the complete truth of God’s Word and the total atonement of Christ.] He who is righteous [because of sincere faith in, and obedience to Jesus,] let him be righteous still. He who is holy [because he was brought “out of” darkness and steadfastly occupy his spiritual position “in” the spiritual Kingdom of Jesus, 1 Pt. 2:9-10,] let him be holy still… (v. 20,) Surely I Am coming quickly… (v. 14,) Blessed are those who obey My [Moral Law] commandments, (Jn. 13:34,) that they may have the right to the Tree of Life, and may enter through the gates into the city. [Heaven.] But outside are dogs [spiritual sleepers,] and sorcerers, [“for rebellion is as he sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry, 1 Sam. 15:23,] sexually immoral, murderers [tongue-murderers or deceivers too,] and whoever loves and practices a lie.”
The return of the Bridegroom is at hand. The wise virgins are trimming the wicks of their lamps, [getting rid of personal moral sin, false doctrine and religiosity so the flame of their lamps can burn higher and they can see more clearly,] and they are filling their lamps with oil, [true Holy-Spirit power through knowledge of, and obedience to the Truth of His Word,]” (Acts 5:32.)
Even rats have the common sense to abandon a sinking ship. Are Jesus’ believers not highly intelligent — apart from being convinced and led by the indwelling Holy Spirit of all truth?
We must realize that everything the devil uses to scare us to return to church bondage, (Gal. 5:1) was ingrained in our minds over time by the constant brainwashing of false doctrines, and by focusing all our attention on certain verses, which were used uncontextually to control us. Satan will always play on such false beliefs to bring us back into religious bondage.
This is why John prophesied doom (Rev. 18:9-20) over the future of that church system, [not the spiritual body of Christ or their Biblical assembly, the “ecclesia.”] It is a certainly, according to Revelation chapters 17-18, that the entire church system of idolatry and ungodliness, which was set up to replicate the “ecclesia,” will be destroyed. These two chapters do not speak about the Roman Catholic Church only, but about all her Protestant and other daughters too; all those that are affiliated with her doctrines, norms, and forms. John wrote, “The kings of the earth who committed fornication and lived luxuriously with her will weep and lament for her, when they see the smoke of her burning… For in one hour her judgment will come… [and Babylon, the great harlot, will fall. Ruling monarchs or presidents have always partnered with church clergy; they are the ‘beast’ from the sea or political world that the religious harlot of Rev. 17 & 18 is riding or steering.] For in one hour such [religious greatness and wealth] came to nothing… [for in her were… also] the bodies and souls of men [through all her murderous crusades through the ages and the spiritual destruction of her false doctrines, norms and forms.]
“[Verse 14, But] the fruit that you soul longed for, and all the things which are rich and splendid have gone from you, and you shall find them no more at all.."
God is always to be found immediately and directly through sincere prayer and the context of His Scriptural Word, because the Holy Spirit speaks most clearly through the Truth of His written Word, (Jn. 1:1-14; Heb. 1:1-14.)
Jesus declared in Jn. 6:37, “… Him that comes to Me I will in no way cast out.” Jam. 4:8, “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you...." Jesus is with those who ask and search for a deep, true relationship with Him, (Mt. 7:7.) Of course the devil will attack us with doubt, fear, and confusion, (Jn. 10:10.) He will even send demons to make life miserable for us to turn us away from following Jesus in spiritual freedom, (Gal. 3:10-14.) But "greater is He that is in us, than he that is in the world."
God’s Word will feed all His true believers to become strong in Christ; growing in knowledgeable of His True Word and personally experiencing the reality of the Holy Spirit of the Bible. Jesus is teaching us to take responsibility for our spiritual lives in Him, (Jude 1:20.) He will never let go of us while we seek His will and Word and wait on His leading, (Jn. 8:12.) Even under the Old Testament Covenant He promised His children, “Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them, for the Lord your God, He is the One Who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you,” (Heb. 13:5.)
